AI Governance at Work
When AI makes the decision, HR holds the liability.
AI governance is no longer a future conversation. As regulation expands and accountability increases, organizations need governance frameworks, documentation systems, and defensible decision-making processes to govern AI responsibly before risks become consequences. HR must be prepared for new laws, including the EU AI Act, the Colorado AI Act, and the California AI Act.
Organizations do not need more AI policies. They need operational capability.

The questions you've been avoiding are the ones that matter most.
High-achieving women don't stall because of lack of competence. They stall because the internal work of deciding what you're actually capable of, and building the leadership identity that matches it, never gets the same attention as the job itself. The Executive Women's Leadership Accelerator is a 12-week cohort built around four leadership dimensions most programs don't address: leading self, leading others, leading organizations, and leading transformation.

Accountability systems, not training sessions.
Inclusive cultures are built with measurable practices and leaders prepared to own outcomes. Not awareness workshops. These programs build the accountability infrastructure that makes inclusion real.
Executive Coaching
The review said "leadership concerns." You can't tell anyone.
60% of new executives fail within 18 months. The $2.7M average cost per failure is documented. What isn't measured: the reputation that doesn't recover. This is confidential, strategic intervention for leaders who cannot afford to appear vulnerable while everything is being watched.
If this is you
Your team's energy changes when you walk into the room. You can't figure out what changed. They already have.
If this is you
The feedback mentions "communication style." You can't tell your boss, your team, or your family what's actually happening.
If this is you
You are one bad day away from making a decision based on fear, not strategy.
Two Paths Forward
Career Transition Coaching
Should you stay and fight to rebuild, or transition to something better? You cannot afford to decide based on emotion.

Content delivery is not the same as learning.
We design learning experiences that build measurable capability — curriculum architecture, custom course development, and certification programs that produce visible results, not seat time.

Enterprise transformation requires more than training.
We build the learning systems, academies, and capability programs that help large organizations develop their workforce at scale — AI readiness, workforce transformation, and learning infrastructure that outlasts any single program.

We build human capability for a world in constant transformation.

Who We Are
A human-centered transformation company.
Transformation succeeds when people are prepared for it.
We help organizations and individuals build the capabilities required to thrive in a world shaped by continuous change, technological disruption, and evolving workforce expectations.
Through learning experiences, leadership development, coaching, advisory services, governance frameworks, and capability-building solutions, we help people navigate transformation with confidence.
Our work spans AI governance, leadership development, workforce readiness, inclusivity, career growth, and learning experience design. Because no single domain holds the full answer to what organizations need right now.

Margaret Spence
HR and risk-governance strategist. 40+ years inside the consequences of people decisions.
I built these programs because I've been in the room when it went wrong. Over 40 years inside insurance companies, I managed the financial aftermath of more than $495 million in settled workplace claims, including a $95 million single-client litigation portfolio. Not as an observer. As the person accountable for understanding what failed, what it cost the people on the other side of the decision, and then negotiating the settlement to make it go away.
AI governance failures are not technology problems. They are systems failures rooted in human behavior and institutional resistance. That is also true of leadership failures and inclusion failures. The Inclusion Learning Lab exists because the gap between policy and practice is exactly where people get hurt.
My fourth book, When AI Breaks the Law: AI Governance for Talent Leaders, publishes August 2026. The programs here are the operational work that the book describes.

When AI Breaks the Law
AI Governance for Talent Leaders — by Margaret Spence
When AI decides who gets hired, promoted, screened, or rejected, HR cannot afford to look away.
Organizations are adopting AI across recruiting, talent management, and workforce decision-making faster than governance practices can keep up. Yet when an algorithm makes a mistake, regulators, courts, employees, and candidates will not ask the technology vendor for answers. They will ask the organization.
When AI Breaks the Law helps HR leaders, talent executives, compliance teams, and boards understand their role in governing AI-enabled talent decisions before legal, ethical, and reputational risks become organizational crises.
Drawing from decades of workplace risk management experience and the lessons emerging from landmark AI litigation, Margaret Spence provides a practical framework for governing AI in talent systems with accountability, transparency, and defensible decision-making.
